Main Characters:
Inu-Yasha
The main character. Inu-Yasha is a half-demon who was subdued by the priestess Kikyo, and re-awakened by Kagome.
Higurashi Kagome
A fifteen-year-old schoolgirl. The granddaughter of a shrine-keeper,she is supposedly the re-incarnation of her ancestor Kikyo. Despite her appearence, Kagome is a very strong character.
Kaede
Kikyo's younger sister. She advises Inuyasha and Kagome as to what to do about the splintered Shikon No Tama as well as feeds them from time to time.
Myoga
Faithful to Inuyasha, he is a retainer or servant of Inuyasha's father and now him. He helps guide the often stubborn half-demon along the way.
Shippo
Shippo is a young fox-demon, or kitsune youkai. He's able to change his shape and create foxfire to aid his friends even though he's little.
Miroku
A Buddist priest of questionable morals, he is cursed with a void in his right hand. He sees the good in Inuyasha even when Inuyasha can't see it himself.
Sango
A Demon Exterminator (taijiya) who's family was killed by her possessed brother, Kohaku. Her weapon is a huge boomerang. She's very strong, and she owns Kirara.
Kirara
A type of cat-demon that shrinks; is owned by Sango. She is perhaps the oldest of the group, having been previously owned by a long dead miko. She transforms from a tiny cat into a huge tiger-like feline.
Supporting Cast:
Higurashi Sota
Kagome's little brother who stays in the future. He looks up to Inuyasha like the big he never had.
Inuyasha's Mother
Simply referred to as "Mother",she is Inuyasha's mortal mother who died when he was just a boy.
Inuyasha's Father
Inuyasha's demonic father, Inutaishou, also deceased.
Kikyo
The Woman who put Inuyasha to sleep 50 years ago, and whose soul has supposedly been reacarnated in Kagome, her descendant.
Hojo
Kagome's classmate and would-be-boyfriend. A little slow on the uptake, and believes Kagome's grandfather's lies about her illnesses.
Kohaku
Sango's little brother who has a very tragic life......and afterlife.
Koga
The prince of the wolves.A wolf demon who's in love with Kagome (of course every guy is.)Inuyasha would just as soon kill him if Kagome didn't stop him.
Rin
A young, misguided, albeit sweet and innocent girl brought back to life by Sesshomaru after she tended to him while he was injured.
The Bad Guys:
Sesshomaru
Inuyasha's half brother and a full youkai (demon), but boy is he hot.
Jaken
Sesshomaru's frog demon henchman, and occasional football.
Naraku
The mysterious man who has a vendetta against Inuyasha.
Kagura
One of Naraku's "offspring". He created her,but he doesn't have any control over what sahe thinks of him.
Juuroumaru & Kageroumaru
Kageroumaru (the little one of them) is the brains of the horrific pair of Naraku's creations.
Jakotsu
A zombie after Inuyasha.He's a little light inthe loafers, but he has a really cool sword he named after himself.
